Conclusion to 1 and 2 Thessalonians

Insofar as it is the case that

1 and 2 Thessalonians most likely were written during Paul’s Corinthian sojourn; and

the Corinthian sojourn most likely dates to 50 through to 52,

we conclude that 1 and 2 Thessalonians were written no earlier than 50 and no later than 52.

Including absolute dates relevant for our purposes as discussed and established in this chapter, our cumulative chronological framework can be summarized in the following table (with dates of composition shown in bold):
